Anai Waterfall

Anai Hill waterfall lies in the edge of the road that connected Padang City with Bukittinggi City. This waterfall includes in the area of Anai Hill Conservation area. The beautiful scene of Anai Hill waterfall is being one of tourism icon in this province. The source of Anai Hill waterfall comes from Singgalang Mountain as it generates clear water flowing to the slope then leaving Anai Hill wildlife into a cliff. From this cliff the stream is pouring to the bottom of the valley within the height of 50 meters.

It is shaping a cauldron like a water bowl. The majestic waterfall spreading mystique nuance but also lovely feeling when the mist generating colorful shine in the afternoon. Before this majestic site, your journey will pass curve roads along Padang city and Bukittinggi city. The route flanked by a lush of green valley and any kinds of trees. Sometimes you can see some monkeys wandering in these trees. Anai waterfall itself lies in Anai hill, Sepuluh Koto District, Tanah Datar Regency, West Sumatra, Indonesia. From Padang city, it spends about one hour drive by public transport.

Anai wildlife is one of great wildlife in the area of West Sumatra. This area covers by heavy tropical rain forest with various animals and plants. The rare scenery of three waterfalls and a natural lake will pay your tiredness along this journey as it has crystal clear water. One of the waterfalls is accessible named Anai Hill Waterfall while it lies in the edge of the road. And two others covered by the heavy forest and it needs around 15 minutes journey from the first waterfall. Here you can find fantastic floras like carrion flower, cangar, sapek, madang siapi-api, water cempedak, madang babulu, and others. Or if you are lucky, you can find anteater, tapir, deer, siamang, and long tailed monkey.
